How we can help

If you’ve been a victim of crime, you can get support from us at any time – it doesn’t matter what type of crime you experienced or when it took place - we’re here for you, for as long as you need us.

We provide free, confidential support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year for people affected by crime and traumatic events – regardless of whether you have reported the crime to the police or not.

All our support is tailored to each individual, but often includes:

  • emotional support;
  • practical help;
  • advice and information;
  • personal safety services;
  • help dealing with the police and criminal justice system;
  • group work and support from people who have been through similar experiences; and
  • restorative justice.

Our teams of highly-trained staff and volunteers also provide a wide range of specialist services for victims of all types of crime, ranging from enhanced support for victims of domestic abuse, child sexual exploitation and terrorism to specialist advice for victims of fraud.

We understand that the impact of crime can be life-changing – we’re here to help and support you through your experience to help you to cope and recover.

We can help to ensure you receive all your rights as a victim of crime, as well as the additional support that we offer. Find out more about your rights under the Victims' Code or contact us to see how we can help you.
